Dr.
Elliot Ames
graduated with his medical degree in 1974 from
the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines,
Iowa. Continuing his education, Dr. Ames completed his internship and
residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Cherry Hill Medical Center in Cherry
Hill, New Jersey. Dr. Ames went on to complete a fellowship in
Hand and Microsurgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine as
well as the Christine Kleinert Fellow in Hand Surgery at the University
of Louisville School of Medicine.

General
Biography
Dr. Ames grew up in
Brooklyn, N.Y., one block from Ebbets Field, home of the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Moved to Boston, Mass. to begin higher education at Boston University (BU).
Developed a strong personal connection with BU and Boston. Traveled
extensively to pursue the best education and training in his current
profession of hand surgery and microsurgery.
Personal interests
include physical fitness, the Japanese martial art of Aikido, and general
aviation. Dr. Ames currently holds the level of Shodan, or 1st degree black
belt in Aikido. In addition, Dr. Ames has a private pilot’s license
with an instrument rating.
